The Stewart Collection

From late 1880's to the early 1900's, Dr. R. E. Stewart collected Native American artifacts along the Lower Columbia River. Artifacts in this collection included many stone and bone tools, as well as historic metals and trade beads as well.

Large Columbia River 3 3/8 long * 2 1/2" wide Paleo Early Leaf Blade or Preform blank. This was one of the largest pieces we acquired in the Dr Robert E Stewart Collection. Good  history to buyer. $375.00

These were collected in the late 1880's by a Dr Stewart on the Columbia River from the Dalles to the Vantage and Colville Areas.

2) Very nice translucent Ovate agate blade from the lower Columbia river. $40.00

4) 1 3/4" Agatized wood  leaf blade  Sold!

5) Superb Round Base Cascade with straight knife edge, material is first class translucent agate with jasper and some inclusions, otherwise top quality workmanship, good one SOLD!

6) Plateau Pentagonal Knife, Petrified wood, also nice flaking and translucency, very thin $75.00

7) This would have been a very large blade at one time!! Well used blade leaf stub $30.00

A) Cascade leaf knife, material is an orange-brown mossy jasper similar to that of the mid Montana region, quality is G8.5, very good length, steal at SOLD!

B) Unnamed variant, has Wahmuza and Gatecliff technology, tip is worn chisel typical of playa lakes cultures, very  pretty mottled jasper, $45.00

C) Dagger, extremely large and nice material, looks like cedar wood with pink, reds and yellow, white swirled agate, reminds us of Kay Co Chert, status relic, $100.00

D)  Gatecliff, great size, material is an oolitic speckled chert, Nice point but has recent chip in base $20.00

E) Small square stemmed lance, heavily resharpened down, sloping shoulders, gray speckled jasper $25.00

F) Cascade leaf atlatl dart, heavily patinated pink oolitic chert, beautiful piece, truly a gorgeous relic, $35.00

G) Very nice White and yellow Chalcedony Gatecliff type point, Super price at $25.00

H) Northern Side notch, incredible speckled and honey-red translucent moss agate, simply the finest material that I have ever seen a NS made of, steal this one at $25.00

J) Plano or Nesikep age dart, colorful jasp-agate with some transparency $24.00

K) Speedis Paleo lanceolate exhibiting its transition out of the Western Fluted Point Tradition, gray to light gray chert, SOLD!
